Portfolio Submission and Application Information

Application Portfolio Interviews

To attend Bealart, we require that you participate in an online portfolio review of your artistic accomplishments! Don’t worry! We are not judging you! We want to know what stage you are at so that we can best serve you! 

TVDSB students should submit their portfolio, questionnaire and/or other required documents to the Google Classroom using code 45zxgjo. If you are not a TVDSB student, please email a Google Slides document containing the required images, completed questionnaire and/or required documents to: k.davy@tvdsb.ca. Please ensure that you assign the correct permissions to your Google Slides document so that we can view it. 

 

** To complete the registration process, the student must complete both the Bealart application process and the TVDSB registration process through MyBlueprint or printed forms found on the TVDSB website.

Bealart Application Requirements:

Grade 9 Enriched

Studio Practice (Foundations)

  • Exactly 10 artworks of any medium in jpeg format.
  • Credit Counselling Summary – Scan or document with your phone.
  • Completed Application Form

 

 

Entrance Requirements


Grade 9&10 Enriched
Entrance Requirements: Graduated Grade 8
Enrolment Process: You must complete the Enriched Grade 9/10 Questionnaire and upload it to our portfolio review Google classroom on or before DATE TBD.

Registration: Following a successful portfolio review, registration must be completed by DATE TBD with TVDSB. Forms available in February from Bealart or TVDSB

Grade 11 Foundations 1
Entrance Requirements: Grade 9 or 10 AVI or AWD.
Enrolment Process: You must participate in an online portfolio review by submitting required documents to our portfolio review Google classroom on or before DATE TBD.

Registration: Following a successful portfolio review, registration must be completed by DATE TBD with TVDSB. Forms available in February from Bealart or TVDSB

Grade 12 Foundations 2
Entrance Requirements: Successful completion of the Grade 11 Foundations 1 Program.
Enrolment Process: There is no portfolio review required for the Grade 12 Foundations 2 Program

Registration: Registration must be completed by DATE TBD with TVDSB. Forms available in February from Bealart or TVDSB

Grade 12+ Studio Practice (Foundations)
Entrance Requirements: Entrance requirements:  Compulsory credits must be completed.” (Including G12 English.)
Enrolment Process: You must participate in an online portfolio review by submitting required documents to our portfolio review Google classroom on or before DATE TBD.

Registration: Following a successful portfolio review, registration must be completed by DATE TBD with TVDSB. Forms available in February from Bealart or TVDSB

Grade 12 Specialist
Entrance Requirements: Successful completion of the Foundation 2 or Grade 12 Studio Practice Program
Enrolment Process: There is no portfolio review for the Specialist Program

Registration: Registration must be completed by DATE TBD with TVDSB. Forms available in February from Bealart or TVDSB. Studio selection is completed in June.

What Should be in your Portfolio?

– 10 artworks (for Foundation)
– As many of your favourite works as possible
– Works may be unfinished or exploratory
– Sketchbooks
– Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Computer based art, collage etc.
– Large works that are not portable should be documented digitally. Bring your computer to show your work.
– A portion of the portfolio should reflect your interests and style of creativity 
– Keep works flat (don’t roll up your work)
– Make works presentation ready: Clean and neatly displayed. If possible store them in a portfolio case.
